February has only resulted in one reported envelope sale (a 35) although a number of baskets, burners and other items have been sold. We suspect other deals have been done, so if you have an advert in the List, this serves as a reminder to keep us informed of sales .... The March List is running late, although the delay has resulted in several new ads arriving just in time! … [Read more...]

Issue 322: February 2014
2014 has started in the UK with the wettest January on record. A lucky mini-ridge with early morning frost enabled 5 balloons to free fly from the Icicle Meet on 5th Jan, whilst 2 more tethered. There has been very little chance to fly since, especially with so many fields so wet for landing. Meanwhile the Epiphany Meet in Mondovi Italy, whilst not enjoying perfect weather, … [Read more...]

Once again we see the newer items leaving the List with two Cameron Z-105 envelopes, two Concepts and an Ultramagic H-77 complete notified as sold. Koen in Belgium seems very successful in placing good condition 105/120 bottom ends too - three leaving the List this time. As we have seen at Zebedee, older equipment, particularly T&C baskets / C2 burners are slow to sell … [Read more...]

Issue 317: September 2013
As we approach the end of the UK Summer flying season the pace of new entrants to the List has slowed — just one complete 140 and a couple of smaller envelopes join this time. By contrast many envelopes are continuing to find homes - 7 in the last month ranging from a 21 to a 315. A number of reductions have been made this month, whilst John Albury has unearthed more items … [Read more...]
Issue 316: August 2013
This List is running late due to half of the editorial team having been ensconced in Metz, along with a large number of our readers. This years Meet suffered from rather variable weather - strong winds and thunderstorms at times with interludes of calm winds but very hot days. For the record books, on Wednesday 31st July 408 balloons took off in less than one hour and the … [Read more...]

The commercial news this month centres on the liquidation of Cameron Flights Southern (no connection with Cameron Balloons Ltd) / Go Ballooning. The online sale handled by Eddisons Ltd raised far more than some of us expected. Certainly there were bargains amongst the large complete balloons and some bottom ends, but smaller items, particularly tanks, fans and spares all … [Read more...]
