Owner/Chief Pilot approaching retirement age but willing to continue part time and help with the transition. All year round flying from Rural Methven, Mid Canterbury which becomes a busy Ski town during the winter months June to October. Second area of operation on the company Opps. Spec. is Wanaka, Queenstown Lakes a busy tourism district. Methven is nestled on the Canterbury Plains just East of the Southern Alps, which give very good shelter from the prevailing westerly weather, the Chief Pilot logged 230 flights in 2024 and could have been more (All Flight Sheets available) . The company started in 1992 as Aoraki Balloon Safaris, until a rebrand as “Adventure Balloons (NZ) Limited” in 2018, with new owner and new equipment, we have recently re-certified our Part 115 and SMS certificates for another five years.
