Cameron heli-hopper balloon for sale. Made 2001.
This is a helium balloon that is tethered to the ground or to a human ground based operator or operators, who control the height of the performer from the ground. It has been used in open air theatre about seven times in 20 years to lift human performers and a giant puppet, and is in good condition. It has a black cover which was used to conceal it in performances and also protects it from sunlight.
It comes with bar that hangs below and carry weights and suspend a performer.
In general balloon safety precautions in the open air re proper tethering, avoiding electric cables, weather electro cumulous clouds wind speed etc are quite extensive.
The ropes that suspend the bar from the balloon and the performers from the bar and the ropes that are used to tether the balloon during flight must be replaced with new rope. The rest of the linear suspension is spread across a large number of very strong cords attached to the envelope which will never all break at the same time making the light aircraft quite safe from sudden deflation or dropping suddenly out of the air unless blasted with a shot gun or the like. Our company has had a 100 per cent safety record of performance all in the open air.
Eliminating wind issues It can also be used for aerial performance indoors in a large atrium.
The balloon can be used for these purposes or the outer envelope could be changed and it could be used for advertising.
