Once again the List this month consists of several items from ‘Stop Press’ which came in during September, deletions of items sold – including 2 Cameron Mk4 double burners, 2 baskets, tanks & a fan. G-CBPW has been deleted, known to have changed hands some months ago. Another ‘golden oldie’ (sorry, ‘silver oldie’!) Thunder Ax6-56 G-THOM from 1981 moved very quickly during the month after being added to ‘Stop Press’.
Transferred into this issue are G-BOOB, an eighties Cameron N-65 (we question the Annexe 1 bit in the ad), a basket and 60L tank from Chris Dunkley, trailer from Gareth Gray, refuelling kit from Jim Atkinson and a request for an Ultramagic MK21 burner for a 120 from Andrew Gregory.
As I write this those of us with UK licences should be celebrating “simplification” of Licensing which most would argue is anything but! All they needed to do was turn the clock back 50 years – a PPL for life and a pink (HGV) Medical form from your GP. Bit more for commercial passenger flying (introduced 1989).
On the eve of the One Man Meet (3rd-5th October) at new venue Popham Airfield, Hampshire the weather looks totally unflyable all weekend. Such a shame after some lovely flying weather in late September. Thanks to Wendy & John for organising this increasingly popular annual gathering and fingers crossed for 2026!
