We are pleased to report that Kim Hull has quickly sold his ‘Adventure Balloons’ rides company. Kim has worked tirelessly for many years building up a varied selection of flight venues mainly in the South-East and is the one operator to negotiate summer only London flights from Hyde Park. A second rides balloon LBL-360A G-LLGE is now up for sale, not being part of the company purchase.
As many readers discovered, the three Titanium cylinders advertised in the paper List last month and mentioned in the Intro / Zebedee News were sold before the web version went live. Two stainless V-30s are on offer this issue.
We hear from Gianna in Italy that her three well used trailers and pair of baskets have found new homes.
After 50 years+ of Zebedee, over 40 of them buying and selling used balloons and equipment, Celia and I announce the first part of ‘wind-down’ commences this month. As any visitor to our base will testify we have accumulated a large collection of envelopes, baskets, burner and fans – many of them lodged mainly by retiring owners or as part exchanges for us to sell. Some items are already in the List, many with current UK ARCs / Form Ones. Others need work to make them serviceable, or are ‘past it’ for further flying so are suitable only for non flying duties. We intend to produce a full list of these items for the February issue.
Our decision at the moment is only to call a halt to new deliveries of such items so that when the end comes, the barn is hopefully not full of unsold items. There is no plan to close Zebedee’s other functions – the Zebedee List, small sales, including used items and our sewing / repair business.
