As you would expect, there has been plenty of action on the List during March as people prepare for the summer ‘season’. Cameron N-90 G-BZXR has found a home, as have the basket & burner on ‘Stop Press’ from Nick Dunnington, basket from Pete Dalby, CB599s from Zebedee together with the usual crop of smaller items.
New for this month is the chance ‘to book’ a 2016 Cameron Z-77 envelope with just 7 hours tethering to its credit. No free flights! It is all navy blue and is currently with Zebedee for replacement of artwork panels with a little series of panels in two other shades of blue & white (no matching navy available). It will be available by the end of May with a new ARC. It has turning vents and scoop and at £13,000 + VAT comes at around two thirds the price of a new one – and without waiting till the autumn for delivery! See G-CIXR in Envelopes ….
Zebedee is pleased to announce that we now have another stock of new Bonanno Fuel Filters (see Refuelling Kit) and quick releases (see Quick Release in the Other section).
We also remind readers of the availability of G-BXOT, a Cameron Concept 70 in current BA livery just looking for a pilot with a BA contact who could get some trips/advertising work out of it. A similarly artworked Westfalia trailer is also available …..
Lastly, don’t forget it’s the long awaited BBM&L Inflation Day hosted by David Hopkins at Pidley PE28 3DF on 23rd April. Zebedee will be there so can deliver any small items you may need. Lots of old, forgotten envelopes have already been entered & the action starts around 8.30. There is a booking form for envelope entries on the Museum website at www.bbml.org.uk but you won’t be turned away if you just turn up with something interesting! Fingers crossed for some good weather ….
