This issue has been produced slightly early in the hope it will appear on the website and drop through letterboxes ahead of the Midlands Air Festival at Ragley Hall, Alcester on June 4/5/6th. Organiser James McDonald and his team have worked hard to produce the first large open meet since Icicle 2020. Yes, there are/will be Covid restrictions, but let’s hope it goes down in history as when balloon meets in the UK returned to some form of normality. Zebedee will be there and can still squeeze smaller deliveries into the van if ordered early in the week.
The two T&C 160 ex film set baskets have found a new home during May as have a trailer and the usual crop of smaller items.
New for June is a complete Cameron Concept 80, a Sky 31 envelope, a quality 8hp fan and another Cameron Mk4 burner, this one straight back from Easy Balloons following service including new hoses, new corner buffers on the frame and a Form One.
With the ever increasing price of some of our materials, this issue sees a price hike of our popular burner bags – now standard with four handles (not for forks!) in a wide range of colours. Similarly nearly all refuelling hoses and adapter prices are increased mainly due to us having to incorporate a bigger percentage of new components into them as our stock of decent used hoses and fittings get consumed. Our supplier of wooden 2-blade fan props has also increased his prices so we have reflected this in Zebedee’s Box, although any that are currently in stock remain at the old price.
