December was another quiet month for sales – and for items being offered for sale. Two complete balloons – a 160 and 210 found new homes as did a very old 77 envelope and several smaller items.
We are confident that as we start 2019, trading will get a boost with a new season ahead – and a “Metz Year” at that! As this issue went to press, we received four new adverts from Koen in Belgium offering a 90/105 bottom end, a lightweight basket, Shadow double burner and a trailer. Also in the nick of time was another trailer advert from Glenn Rich so look in the relevant sections.
As I write this, the Icicle Refrozen Meet is about to happen, with a number of deliveries planned by us and the best weather forecast for several years. We wish the new organising team good luck with what should be their first decent flyable day since taking over the meet in 2016.
The 210 sale above did not include tanks so 4 x CB426s (60 litre) are now in our Tank section, with 2016 PPT/PRVs and are a welcome addition at a time with few such items, particularly stainless steel, on offer.
Here in the UK the Brexit debacle continues, with no one knowing what extra paperwork, checks or costs will be needed for sales into the EU after March 30th. With the pound trading at its lowest point against the Euro (and US dollar) for some time we encourage people on mainland Europe to “buy early”!
Finally as we emerge from winter, we urge you to check your ads within and let us know if any of your ads are no longer valid – or need updating.
Happy New Year!
