Ring the bells! What is almost certainly Zebedee’s longest running envelope advert, Geoff Lane’s Thunder Ax9-140 G-BTJO has finally sold in the USA …. Made of silver mylar laminate left over from the ‘Pacific Flyer’ era. With just 25 hours in 4 flights it was a real endurance balloon. Let’s hope 17+ years of USA storage has kept it in good shape ….
Also sold is Peter Forster’s Z-250 and a whole host of baskets, burners and other items.
New for March we have the 2 complete balloons, a 105 and 90 which have been on ‘Stop Press’ in recent weeks together with several small items from Steve Rowlands. Zebedee has added another T&C basket, 2 burners, 2 quick releases, climbing ropes (!), 2 scoops and a whole collection of tanks. These include a Titanium 60 and LBL V-40, both with recent-ish PPT/PRVs, Form One and new covers – colour of your choice.
Meanwhile Dave Such has re-advertised his LBL42A envelope G-CBLO, Glenn Board has split his UM M-65C G-ULTA and several items have had price reductions.
The Kavanagh burner previously advertised has had new hoses and attention at Easy Balloons which includes a Form One.
The BBAC AGM, scheduled for 3rd March has been postponed till Sunday 18th March at the same Mercure Walton Hall Hotel venue thanks to the extensive snow which hit the UK in the last few days of February / early March. Zebedee intends to be there with the usual spares and can bring other ordered items.
Finally we have to report the death of Aidan Murphy in the Republic of Ireland. He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, raising funds for cancer charities in the process. He was a popular character in the Irish ballooning community. He leaves a wife and young daughter to whom we send our condolences.
