Two of last month’s complete balloon new entries – G-CGIH and F-GYTT quickly found new homes during September, whilst a third sees a price reduction for October. Older ads for 77 and 90 envelopes also resulted in sales.
New for October (but displayed on the web site ‘Stop Press’ for the last two weeks) is a stash of tanks and fans – and two 12 passenger Cameron bottom ends from Graeme Scaife. The tanks include some much requested 80 litre examples of which we see so few advertised in Zebedee.
One of the complete balloon sales mentioned above was without trailer, meaning a Wendover example now moves into the trailer section, whilst a new entry is a 3 metre Indespension from Barry Bower in Italy. This may well appeal to one of the many Brits who base balloons in Italy as it continues to operate on the simple UK system of using the number plate of the (UK registered) vehicle that is towing it. No other paperwork.
Sadly the Sackville ‘Grass Roots’ Meet was cancelled after publication of the September List due to the poor weather forecast. For October we have the popular One Man Meet coming up at Tissington, near Ashbourne on 7th to 9th October. Contact John Tyrrell or Wendy Rousell at onemanmeet@btinternet.com
And at the end of the month, on 30th October, the British Balloon Museum & Library’s AGM and Luncheon at the Elcot Park Hotel near Newbury. Contact Jenni d’Alton on pr@bbml.org.uk
