Two envelopes have been notified as sold during March – a 42 & 90 (both going abroad) together with two bottom ends, a number of tanks at Zebedee plus the usual bits & pieces. As is often the case at this time of year we expect many other items are on the move – so please tell us if you have sold (or bought) an item still advertised in these pages ….
New for April are three envelopes – one old friend G-LEAU, a lovely ‘crispy fabric’ Cameron N-31 “Baby Perrier”, a Thunder 120 in France with Claude Gouzerh and a low houred UM105 in Kent with Liz Meek. A very nice Ultramagic bottom end also appears this time, compatible with the latter envelope but at the other end of the country – Edinburgh! From Peter Mossman we have a gas balloon basket, suitable for the standard competition envelope of 1000 cu ft. Peter also tells us he has a traditional netted gas balloon envelope available, although not so popular these days. Add to that a Kavanagh flight bag, a couple of inflation mats from Zebedee (for the pilot who has everything) and the usual crop of price reductions, so hopefully something there for you ….
March gave few opportunities for UK flying – and even when calm, the fields were wet. April has started the same but hopefully light evenings will now give us some chances.
The next event for Zebedee will be the British Balloon Museum & Library’s biennial Inflation Day to be held on Saturday 28th April at David Hopkin’s Lakeside Lodge Golf Centre, Pidley. Further details from the BBML website at www.bbml.org.uk. Zebedee will be there so deliveries are possible where pre-notified but with several envelopes in the van, space will be limited!
