As would be expected this time of year, the market is busy. Out of this issue go four complete balloons and three envelopes ranging in size from a 31 to a 210.
No new envelopes go in this time but Zebedee has had various items join our stock recently – a nice Cameron 90 basket & Mk4 Super double burner, a virtually new 13hp fan, an unused Lindstrand Hopper Tidy and a Cameron Aristocrat 77 size basket that needs a bit of work but a bargain ‘as is’. We have also sorted out our collection of basket covers – mainly Cordura types, some closed sides, some open ‘wrap around’ examples.
Following on from our sorting of the ‘Aerostat Mountain’ we now have ‘Balloons & Airships’ back issues covering the entire print run from #1 to #48, then numbers 49 & 50, by then titled ‘Ballooning UK’ and finally the last such issues, not numbered but dated June/July 200 & Aug/Sept 2000.
This issue also sees a welcome ‘Sit Vac’ for a pilot in Kenya from our old Dante friend John Medlock. We’ve also had a request for a T&C Duo Air Chair (with horizontal tank) bottom end. Contact Zebedee if you can help.
We had a couple of reports early in Feb of our website being hacked and advertising Viagra(!) although this had disappeared by the time we took a look ourselves …. No, we have not expanded our product range! Also an email from Jiapa Hassam making a vague enquiry to buy balloons would seem to be a scam – beware!
The BBAC AGM is to be held at a new venue – Turweston Airfield, near Brackley, Northants on 13th March, home of the Light Aircraft Association. A BBAC Instructor Day precedes the AGM on Saturday 12th and Zebedee will be present at both – deliveries possible ..!
