Change of Ownership of Complete Balloons or Envelopes -
a reminder to all buyers and sellers

Sellers should provide:

1. Log book with IR4s attached therein.
2. IR6As where issued for cylinders (issued when PPT’d by Camerons, Lindstrand or Chris Dunkley).
3. Current Flight Manual for your make & model of balloon.
4. C of A document - A4 or 2/3 x A4 similar appearance. This is often missing. We must all do more to make sure we keep these with the rest of a balloon's docs. Replacements are available (to the current registered owner) but cost £41 from the CAA at Gatwick.
5. C of R document. This should have new owner’s contact details added to Sect 1 or 2 on the reverse, then signed by the old owner(s) and sent by the old owner to the CAA. The CAA will then contact the new owner for re-registration (cost £60).

Items 1-4 should (especially in the future EASA world) be presented at C of A renewal time.

Where balloons are left with Zebedee for resale, then in future, proceeds from such sales will be reduced to cover the costs of any of the above documents which have to be replaced.
